All of the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies and Events going on in and around Metro Detroit! (Up to Date for 2021!)

Partridge Creek (Macomb)

Wednesday, Nov 17

5 – 7pm

The first 2500 children under the age of 10 will receive a light up wand to help Santa light the tree.

Free Photo Booth!

From 6 -7pm, Live performances by the Break-Dancing Elves, a Speed Painter, LED Drumline, and a visit from Santa & Mrs. Claus!

 

 

Lake Orion Sing & Stroll Tree Lighting

Thursday, Nov 18

6-8pm

Children’s Park

Music, Dancing, Singing, Roasting Marshmallows, Cocoa, Photo Ops, and the Annual Lighting of the Tree & Streets!

6-8pm: Cocoa Bar, Roasting Marshmallows, Frozen Princess Photo Spot & Pictures w/Santa

6:15-6:30: Broadway Dance Co Performance

6:40-7: LOHS Choir

7-7:15: Lighting of the Tree

7:15-8: Strolling Carolers

 

 

Campus Martius (Detroit)

Friday, Nov 19: 5pm-11:59pm

Free!

Live entertainment, Olympic figure skaters (Ashley Wagner), local performers & skating clubs

Horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday shopping, hot chocolate giveaways, food trucks, visit from Santa, etc.

Michigan grown 65-foot Norway spruce.

20,000 lights

Tree is lit just after 7 (so get there early)!

*Masks are encouraged*

 

 

Canterbury Village (Lake Orion)

Saturday, Nov 20

5-8pm

Free!

Entertainment, Carolers, Shops, S’mores, Hot Cocoa, Hot Cider, Outdoor Firepits

45ft tall Christmas Tree lit at 6pm

 

 

Big Bright Light Show (Downtown Rochester)

(Ok, so there is no tree, but this one is still a big deal when the lights go on for the season!)

Monday Nov 22, 2021 – Jan 3, 2022

The Facebook event page says 7pm on the 22nd for the lighting, but I’d get there early FOR SURE.

Every Evening from 5pm-Midnight

Most stores are open Monday-Saturday until 9pm

Frankenmuth

Frozen Fun Night

Friday, Nov 26, 2021

5-8pm

Throughout Frankenmuth

6-8pm: Visit Santa at Fischer Hall

6pm & 7pm: Reading of the Christmas Story by the Christmas Tree at the Visitor’s Center

6:30 & 7:30pm: The premier of the NEW magical Frankenmuth Tree Light Show at the Visitor’s Center

5-8pm: Live musical performances around town (The Visitor’s Center Platz, River Place Shops, & Zehnder Park)

Open until 10pm: Skate around the NEW Frankenmuth Ice Rink located in Zehnder Park. Tickets are $10 & Skate Rentals are $3

Open until 8pm: Shop the opening day of the Christkindlmarkt (Frankenmuth Farmer’s Market)

Free cookies, Frozen Fun, & More to Come!

 

 

Downtown Auburn Hills

Friday, Dec 3

6pm

After the tree lighting, meet Santa & Mrs. Claus, pictures with Santa, crafts, horse-drawn carriage & wagon rides, shops, performances by winter princesses, interactive children’s music & stories, and meet real reindeer.
