Fireworks

Monday, June 28: Metro Beach (Televised only UNLESS you were lucky enough to get a ticket to the Crews Inn Dinner & Fireworks Cruise! The event is unfortunately sold out, but it is on my radar for next year now!)

The park will be closed to the public, but you can watch on Channel 4 (which, let’s be honest, is less than thrilling).

 

 

Wednesday, June 30: Stoney Creek (Shelby Twp)

Traffic will be nuts…like absolutely insane. You have been forewarned.

Time: Fireworks display starts at dusk

Cost: Free! A Metroparks daily or annual pass is required to enter any Metropark.

Location: Stony Creek Metropark, Eastwood Beach

Wednesday, June 30 – Saturday, July 3 @ Greenfield Village (Dearborn)

6-10pm each night

You do need tickets.

What is included (from their site):

  • NEW! 3 Detroit Symphony Orchestra performance areas with rotating ensembles
  • Historical performance groups, including Dodworth Saxhorn Band (brass), Taslimah Bey (ragtime piano), North Star Choral Group, Robert Jones (blues), Brassworks Entertainment (jazz trio) and more

Thursday, July 1: Ford Field Central Park (on 23 Mile in Shelby Twp)

4 – 11pm

Food Truck Rally starting @ 4pm too! (The Food Truck Rally is at the New Rink.)

They have 18 participating food trucks so far! Woot! (I love eating haha.)

Fireworks @ 10pm

Alcoholic Beverages 

Alcoholic beverages are limited to beer and wine within township parks. No liquor or mixed spirits shall be consumed. No alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted within the Food Truck Rally or on public property along Van Dyke Ave. and 23 Mile Road.

Dogs in the Park

While it is encouraged to keep your furry friends at home, we do understand that some enjoy public outings as much as we do. Dogs are allowed in Ford Field Central Park and in public areas as long as they remain under immediate control on a leash not exceeding 6 feet in length. As always, please remember to clean up.

Parking

Looking for some front row parking? The lot at Ford Field Central Park will be open all day for spectators. In addition to several private-owned lots on Van Dyke Ave., parking is available after 5 p.m. on the municipal campus at 52700 Van Dyke Ave. or the Shelby Township Community Center at 51680 Van Dyke Ave.

 

 

Thursday, July 1: Willow Metropark (New Boston)

Friday, July 2: Algonac Lions Pickerel Tournament Fireworks Night (Clay Twp)

Friday, July 2: Comerica Park after the Tiger’s game

Get a ticket and enjoy the game and fireworks! Or you could hang out at one of the rooftop patios downtown (like Tin Roof or the Monarch Club) to catch the fireworks show too!

 

 

Friday, July 2: Woodhaven Civic Center

From their website:

Join us July 2nd at Civic Center Park for fireworks, live music and food trucks. Everyone is welcome.

Fireworks at dark

Live Music by The Dave Hamilton Band from 6:30pm-9:30pm on the Showmobile Stage behind the Community Center

Food Trucks will be located in front of the Community Center near Hall Rd

What if it rains? No worries! Rainout date is July 3rd.

 

 

Friday, July 2: Kensington Metropark (Milford)

Time: Fireworks display starts at 10:10 p.m.

Cost: Free! A Metroparks daily or annual pass is required to enter any Metropark.

Time: Fireworks display starts at 10:10 p.m.

Sunday, July 4: St. Clair on the River (Can view from Palmer Park)

From their site: Join the city of St. Clair to celebrate Independence Day with a spectacular fireworks display presented by American Fireworks. The display begins at dusk. If viewing from Palmer Park, alongside our newly renovated boardwalk, parking is available on Riverside Avenue and in the parking lot of St. Clair Riverview Plaza (201 N. Riverside Avenue). Along with several local restaurants open for business, there will also be numerous Vendor concessions.

 

Sunday, July 4: Youngblood Vineyard: Red, White, & BOOM (Ray Twp)

Free! (They are asking that you RSVP though.)

Have you ever watched an aerial fireworks display from the middle of a vineyard? Come celebrate the 4th of July with us on the vineyard! Bring your own lawn chairs and blankets for the show and come for an hour or stay all day. Fireworks will begin at dusk. Enjoy playing in our tiny baby goats + chickens + bunnies + puppies petting area.

The tasting pavilion will be open from (noon-9pm) and will be available for purchase by the glass and bottle. This is a FREE event. With nearly 50 acres, we have plenty of space for everyone. For those of you who’ve been to our annual 4th of July parties for the last 15 years, this will be exactly the same except now we have our own wood fired oven, wine and cowboy cauldron. Bring an appetite for pizza and chili which will be available for purchase until we run out.

Friday, July 9: Veteran’s Memorial Park (SCS)

These were the fireworks that were originally scheduled for June 25.

You need to purchase a wristband in advnace if you would like to go!

It would probably also be a good idea to get a parking pass in advance.

(If you already purchased wristbands and parking for the cancelled/rescheduled show, they will still be valid for the 9th!)

Saturday, July 10: City of Taylor Summer Festival

From their site: Taylor, get ready for Preston Brust and Chris Lucas, otherwise known as LOCASH! They’ll be ridin’ into town next month. LOCASH (wsg Christ Bandi) will headline a country-themed concert on the July 10 fireworks’ night. Filter (wsg Sponge) will headline a rock concert on Friday, July 9. The concerts will be held inside the Sheridan Open Air Pavilion in Heritage Park. A carnival will be held all three days, with the featured fireworks presentation at dusk on Saturday, July 10. Presented by Recoil Firearms and Reliable Delivery, this year’s weekend marks a change from the traditional June dates. Save the date, and buy your tickets now!

This event was originally scheduled for 6/27, but was rescheduled for 7/18 due to the weather.

 

 

Thursday, July 22 – Sunday, July 25: Fraser Lions Club City Festival

Free Admission, Purchase Ride Bracelets + Other Activities

Steffens Park

There will be carnival rides, a beer and food tent, vendors, live entertainment, a fireworks display, and more!

(It has been really hard to find any info on this event, but I’m doing my best!)

 

 

Wednesday, August 11: Festival of the Hills @ Borden Park

Music & Family Fun stars at 6pm

Fireworks are scheduled for 9:36pm. (That’s not a typo on my end. That’s what their event page says! Haha)

Rules
Please remember the following rules and regulations:

  • No alcoholic beverages
  • No open fires
  • No pets are allowed
  • No sparklers or other fireworks
  • Only gas-type barbecue grills are allowed
  • No unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV)

Parking

  • Handicap parking is available at the Hamlin Road entrance
  • Motor home parking space is limited and canopies / overhangs cannot take up a second parking spot
  • No over-night parking
