Yes, Peter Weber is the WORST bachelor we have EVER HAD.
I never thought I would say that after the 2014 season of Juan Pablo that we suffered through, but here we are.
I have had this conversation with quite a few people over the course of this season, and we all seem to be in agreement.
Taylor Swift said, “Boys only want love if it’s torture.” Based off of Peter’s actions, I’d have to agree.
(Maybe that is not true for all “boys,” but for Peter it definitely is true.)
ACTUALLY, maybe it IS true for all BOYS, but not true for all MEN. Hmmm. Anyway…
Peter is confusing drama and red flags with “feelings.” I won’t even call it love at this point.
Is this what is wrong with my generation and dating though? Eek. That’s a rabbit hole I can’t even go down right now…I’ll save my thoughts on that one for another post.
Peter might just be the DUMBEST bachelor we’ve ever had too. I cannot stand this season. Can you?

Do we really have four more weeks to go? Seems like this is going on FOREVER.
On the other hand, I feel like it has also been so rushed. Even the producers/ABC want to get this shit show over with. I can’t believe we’re already on hometown dates. Peter doesn’t have a real emotional connection with ANY of these women right now, so I think that’s why I feel like what the heck?!?!
It makes me think of the Twilight Saga where Bella picks Edward even though their “relationship” is just based on an obsession with each other and not anything substantial. She totally should have picked Jacob because they had established a solid friendship and actually TALKED to each other about things other than how much they are obsessed with each other. #TEAMJACOBFOREVER
Anyway, I digress.

Sydney at prom…even though she claimed she was bullied and never went to prom…
But then Peter just continued to disappoint…majorly.
Maddie
Peter had an early connection with her, but he’s been so wrapped up in DRAMA that he almost let this one fizzle out.
Maddie tells Peter how important her religion is to her, how she wants her marriage and family to be, how religion will play a part in that, etc.

Then he manages to stammer on about how he’s Christian and that’s important to him, but he’s not THAT religious.

Awkward silence ensues, but he slaps a band-aid on it just in time with a “I’m falling in love with you.”
Suddenly, the clouds roll back and the waters part. The sun starts shining in Maddie’s heart. (Thanks for the lyrics George Strait.)
Maddie forgets about how her vision for her future is incompatible with Peter, and they keep charging on ahead.
Shame on Maddie too. Don’t compromise your values like that.
I understand on one hand that love requires compromise, but this isn’t a “compromise.”
This is a straight up deal breaker. You guys are not compatible because the lives you want are not compatible.
Time to move on.
DO NOT compromise what you want out of life to make yourself fit into someone else’s life.
Maddie hasn’t learned this lesson yet though. She’s only 23. Maybe she’ll get it after this experience. Really shouldn’t be getting engaged or married yet anyway…

This girl is just straight up crazy.
Tons of red flags here with her emotional stability.

I’m still not sure why Peter likes her so much. What do they even talk about besides how much they like each other?
She’s talking to her estranged dad, but her mom doesn’t know yet. So she’s gonna tell this to Peter, which is going to air on national TV? I sure hope she filled her mom in before the air date of this episode.
I understand that sometimes there are things you have to work through on your own in private before you tell others. Also, sometimes things are just so painful…it’s easier to keep it inside.
BUT if you’re going on a show like this, don’t you think you should have told your mom that you’ve been secretly talking to your dad first?

Kelley
Again, he had an early connection with Kelley…and he blew it! He just totally let it fizzle out because he got so caught up in the drama. She was an easy front runner.
He took that for granted. He didn’t take her on any one-on-one dates until it was too late.
He didn’t make the “relationship” a priority.
I feel like the producers tried to make her look like a bitch on the group date. They tried to make her out to be a villain for sure, but guess what? She’s right. Everything she said is SPOT ON.

She’s the only one who is emotionally stable.
Peter just tossed that out the window like it was NOTHING.
I see very clearly why he’s single.
