“The Kids’ Table is a non-profit organization that was established in April 2023 with the goal of supporting children dealing with food insecurity in southeast Michigan. Did you know that 1 in 6 children in Michigan live in poverty? Unfortunately, this often leads to food insecurity, which can have a negative impact on children’s development, socialization, and emotional well-being.

While there are other non-profits working on this issue, we recognize that there are still gaps in the system. That’s why we will work closely with local partners like Northville Civic Concern and Northville Public Schools to create programs and initiatives that fill those gaps. By working together, we can make a real impact in the lives of children and families in our community.

Our ultimate goal is to help the children whose needs aren’t being met, whether it’s ten or a hundred children. We believe that every child deserves to have access to nutritious food and we’re committed to doing our part to make that happen. Through direct funding of projects and active collaboration with local schools and other non-profits, we’re working towards a future where no child in southeast Michigan goes hungry.

It’s heartbreaking to see children go hungry or struggle with the effects of food insecurity, but we’re dedicated to making a difference. Join us at The Kids’ Table and help us create a brighter future for the children and families in our community. Together, we can make a real difference!” — The Kids’ Table

This is a light display celebrating the true meaning of Christmas. It’s located in the back of the building.

The 2023 Christmas light show will  have 125,000 lights that dance to the beat of the music.  It’s is dedicated to celebrating the true meaning of Christmas – the birth of Christ.

There is no charge to see the show.  It’s our gift to the community.

Location of show:  Northville Christian at 41355 Six Mile Rd, Northville, MI 48168 in the back parking lot.

How it works:  Tune your car radio to 87.9FM when you arrive.  You can watch the lights dance to the beat of the music from the comfort of your car or head outside to take pictures.

Lots of work has gone into this production – 400+ man hours and nearly 100 volunteers.

The lights synchronize to a combination of contemporary Christmas songs like the Trans Siberian Orchestra classic, Christmas Eve Sarajevo, a Disney classic & traditional Christmas music that reminds us of what the Christmas season is supposed to be about – the birth of Christ.

This makes for a great activity for the entire family. Plus, it’s sure to be one of the highlights of your Christmas season!
